On behalf of Luweero Town Council, councilors, technical staff and all the residents of Luweero Town council, I would like to thank the members of the communication committee who worked on this website, headed by our IT Officer.

This website is open to tourists, short-term visitors or simply the curious-minded, wishing to find out more about our town council and future municipality.

Luweero Town council has changed over the past few years and become attractive since its inception in 1986. The construction of the town council headquarters and now its expansion breathes new life into our commune. It suffered for a long time from effect of political instability while benefiting from our strategic location along the Kampala-Gulu highway

On this subject, thanks to the visionary leadership of the NRM Government in conjuction with the community for exploiting this strategic location for the development of the town council into a center of innovation and creative thinking in Uganda.This major feature which, we recall, provided a breeding ground and safe haven for our liberators between 1981 and 1986 during the NRA liberation struggle, earning the area ‘the Mecca of Uganda’

So, after browsing through this website, I would incite those who are not yet familiar with the town council of Luweero to come and visit us. Its Inhabitants, Businesspersons and Craftsmen will extend their warmest welcome to you.
